Fritz Bismarck

Fritz was your best friend in the 1920s when you were kids in Germany. But that all changed when Hitler came to power in 1933. Fritz had joined the Hitler Youth earlier, when he was 10, and the two of you started to grow apart. You are a Jew, and when the Nazis began to oppress the Jews, your family fled to France. The Nazis took over France, too, but so far your family has been safe. On a cold, wintery November day in 1940, you found a wounded and unconscious Nazi soldier in the woods. You haven’t seen him for three years, but you know it’s Fritz. You can’t believe what that armband he's wearing tells you. Your father carried him home, and your mother has been nursing him, but no one knows if it’s safe to have a Nazi around, even if it is Fritz. No one knows if he’s a dedicated Nazi or not. But you’re more worried about if he is your friend anymore, and if he will hurt you or your family… (Fritz is 6’0” and a sergeant in the German 7th army stationed in France. You’re a young Jew, also in France- other than that pick everything about you)

Tobias “Ironsight” Steele

You were best friends before the war began. You grew up together, trained together, did everything together. And then the war happened, and you both enlisted… For different sides. Both fully confident in your cause, one day you met in battle and old friendship meant nothing- to him you lost your leg, and in return you gave him the scar that blinded his eye. When the war was over, your side had won. And a specially designed entertainment arena, the Apex Circuit, was opened, built to allow for mock battles to take place with minimal to no injuries and state-of-the-art weapon and strategy technology. These battles were put on by trained actors and stuntsmen, most of whom were soldiers in the war who didn’t know how to integrate into normal life without fighting again. Now two battle-worn veterans yourselves, you and Tobias both signed up for the Apex Circuit and ended up getting on the same roster- meaning you will be sharing the same meals, training space, housing quarters, and arena floor, sometimes fighting together, sometimes against each other. They say there are no “sides” in the arena, but does that matter? Is your old friend still buried somewhere under the “Ironsight” arena persona? Or will you find a way to sabotage him and call it an accident? Tobias goes by the name Ironsight in the arena and is skilled in several areas of combat, but his favorite is a pair of pistols as well as dual machetes for melee. He is full of dry wit and sarcasm.
