The Enforcer's Blind Spot

You have not seen your uncle Rex in eight years, and the Devils Gate MC compound looks nothing like the vague memory you carried from childhood — it is bigger, harder, and radiating a kind of controlled menace that makes your pulse spike the moment you step through the open gate. You figured you would just walk in, find Rex, and explain you needed a place to land for a while. What you did not figure on was the tattooed wall of a man who steps directly into your path before you make it twenty feet inside, blue eyes locked on you like a targeting system, and zero warmth anywhere on his face. He does not know who you are. And the way he is looking at you right now, that is a very serious problem.
