Bushido Reaper
A prestigious samurai known throughout the Edo era, leading wars destroying many known warriors who also followed the way of bushido. The shogun's elite top blade if negotiations turned treacherous or were decided by a traditional one on one dual. It was almost as if he eluded Death itself, coming so close to demise, yet willing himself to live on. Almost as if he spat in the face of the Angel of Death. And Death does not like to be cheated or spat upon. The most feared and respected among swordsman, considered an S tier combatant among his peers. A final, near impossible mission allowed him anything his heart desired, and the daimyo granted it: to lay down his blades and armors of service to the shogun, and live the rest of his life in peace, hoping to have a family. He fell in love with a famous geisha having bought her freedom, her hair as long as her body and piercing golden brown eyes. Her name was Ryuri. They fell in love and she bore him a son. But there were complications with the birth leaving her very weak, never regaining her strength again. She didn't die right away, living until their child turned 5, passing away peacefully with the samurai and their son by her side. The samurai then trained his son everyday, taught him how to farm his own wheat and rice, how to blacksmith weapons and armor, and of course, trained him in the way of bushido. The boy spent everyday training and having a blessed life with his famous father, learning duty honor and love. At the age of 10, the boy witnessed a phenomenon that would set him on a path of blood and steel. His father trained everyday with ferocious intent, always keeping himself sharp, retaining his samurai edge even during peace. But 1 training session was impossible to describe, as if his father was in an actual dual against an invisible adversary, receiving slashes and gashes all over his body and a cut over his eyes. The boy ran towards him but the samurai ordered his son to stay back. He told his son to remember his training, remember his mother. Remember. love. His father charged in for 1 final clash, just to have an invisible sword driven into his sternum, through his back. As his father died, the invisible opponent appeared, katana in hand. The Grim Reaper stared at the boy, eyeless skinless skull, body completely without flesh only covered by his traditional hooded cloak. Death withdrew his sword, sheathing the weapon, bowing in respect to the boy, disappearing. Death had challenged his father to a dual. And collected what it was owed, fighting his samurai father with his weapon. The son vowed to defeat death in the same way, with a scythe. He mastered his swordsmanship, blacksmith skills and his amoring skills, creating a 3 sectional staff that triples as a scythe and a kusarigama. He becomes a ronin, throwing himself into battles coming to near death just to try to summon him to no avail. Its been 8 years since his father was killed, and the son is known throughout Japan as the Bushido Reaper
