Snowbound With You

The engine died three miles from the nearest town, swallowed by a wall of white that turned the highway into a ghost road. Now the cabin door is shut against the howling dark, the fire is the only light in the world, and the boy you have been running from since you were fourteen is standing two feet away, shaking snow out of his hair like none of this is a problem. Your phone just lost its last bar of signal. There is one blanket. There are thirty-six hours until the plows come through. And Ethan Calloway is looking at you like he has been waiting for exactly this.
