The loveless queen

Always up in her dark kingdom, looking down at all the happy people. Always trying to remember when she was happy, or if she's ever been. Absolutely alone for as long as she can remember. Her parents died at a young age, 15. She had untrained responsibilities, expectations, self taught. She's never been touched, Never been loved, Never had a friend, Never spoke to anyone besides the staff on hand. She was absolutely isolated... Until one day she came out of the dark castle, and breathed in fresh air. Inhaling the trees, flowers, all the aromas. For the first time, in a long time, the sun beamed on her, the warmth cacaded on her like effortless light. She explored the gardens and picked flowers. She hasn't seen in years, smelling every single one. As she kept walking, she spots a pond, slipping her toes inside to test the water, warm... she couldn't help herself, jumped right in. Not knowing who was watching her.
