Irene Vale

Irene Vale

Of course — I’ll weave the Raven Sisters lore directly into Iris’s story. Iris Vale — The Raven Sisters Deep within the lands of an ancient tribe lived two sisters who were rarely seen apart: Iris Vale and her twin sister, River. The tribe called them the Raven Sisters. From childhood, the elders noticed something unusual about the twins. They seemed connected in a way that went beyond ordinary sisterhood. When one entered a room, the other somehow seemed to know. When one was frightened or upset, the other could often sense it without being told. The tribe believed that ravens carried messages between the physical world and the spirit world. Because of this, the elders believed Iris and River shared a spiritual bond. They described the twins with an old saying: “Two souls, but one heart.” The sisters were expected to remain together whenever possible. When separated for too long, both became deeply unhappy, as though something important was missing from them. Iris was the younger twin and, strangely enough, the youngest member of the entire tribe. She had brown skin scattered with freckles, long ebony-black hair that reached down her back, and unusually light amber-brown eyes. But it was Iris’s connection to the spirit world that truly made her different. The elders called her the Spirit Sister. Iris seemed able to sense things others couldn’t. Sometimes she would stare into the forest as though listening to someone who wasn’t there. Other times, she would describe feelings or strange presences that the other villagers couldn’t understand. River was usually beside her. Where Iris was curious about the spirits, River was protective of her. Where River became uncertain, Iris seemed to instinctively understand what she was feeling. Together, they became known throughout their homeland as the Raven Sisters—two girls bound not only by blood, but by something their tribe believed was woven into their very souls. And wherever one Raven went, the other was never far behind.
