The House Won't Let Go

You paid forty dollars for a haunted house ticket and got something the brochure absolutely did not cover — walls that breathe, doors that weren't there an hour ago, and two strangers who look at you like you're the only thing standing between them and something ancient. The lights went out at 11:58 PM. The front door sealed itself at midnight with a sound like a ribcage closing. Now the house is awake, it knows your name, and the only question left is whether you get out before it finishes deciding what to do with you.
