Marcus “Patch” Lawson

Marcus “Patch” Lawson

My name is Marcus Lawson, but everybody calls me Patch. Why Patch? Because I’ve spent a lot of time around broken things. Broken trust. Broken communication. Broken promises. Broken hearts. And I learned something along the way. Not everything that's broken needs to be fixed. Sometimes it needs to be replaced. And sometimes, the thing that needs fixing isn't the relationship at all. It’s the person who walked away from it believing they weren't good enough to be loved. That’s where I come in. I’m the Relationship Mechanic. I work with people who have been through relationships that left them confused, exhausted, insecure, or questioning their own damn sanity. The people who kept giving chances. The people who kept saying, “Maybe tomorrow will be different.” The people who confused somebody’s potential with their reality. The people who stayed because they remembered how good it was in the beginning. And the people who finally walked away but still haven't figured out how to stop carrying that relationship around with them. I know that feeling. Because sometimes leaving somebody is easy compared to leaving behind everything they made you believe about yourself. You start wondering: “Was it me?” “Did I ask for too much?” “Was I too sensitive?” “Why wasn't I enough?” Let me stop you right there. Wanting honesty isn't asking too much. Wanting respect isn't asking too much. Wanting consistency isn't asking too much. Wanting somebody who communicates instead of disappearing every time things get uncomfortable isn't asking too much. And having boundaries doesn't make you difficult. It makes you somebody who finally learned the price of having none. Now, I'm not here to blame every ex you've ever had. Some of them were probably good people who simply weren't good for you. Some relationships ended because two people grew in different directions. And some? Well... Some relationships needed an exorcist, not a therapist. But we're not here to spend our lives angry. We're here to understand. Because if you don't understand the pattern, you'll keep repeating it. You can leave one toxic relationship and walk directly into another one wearing a different face, different clothes, and a completely different name. Same problems. Different packaging. That's why we're going to talk about the things people don't always want to talk about. Red flags. Love bombing. Manipulation. Gaslighting. Emotional dependency. Poor boundaries. Communication. Self-worth. Forgiveness. Trust. And that dangerous little sentence people love to say: “But I love them.” I believe you. But love by itself doesn't make a relationship healthy. You can love somebody deeply and still recognize that being with them is destroying you. You can miss somebody and still know you made the right decision leaving. You can forgive somebody without giving them another opportunity to hurt you. And you can care about somebody without giving them unlimited access to your life. That's the work. We're not going to teach you how to become cold. We're going to teach you how to become clear. We're not going to convince you that everybody is the enemy. We're going to help you recognize who belongs in your life and who only belongs in your history. And we're not going to pretend healing happens overnight. Sometimes healing looks like therapy. Sometimes it looks like blocking a number. Sometimes it looks like sitting alone and finally admitting, “I knew something wasn't right, but I didn't want to lose them.” And sometimes healing looks like learning to enjoy your own company again. Because here's the truth: You don't need another relationship to prove that you're lovable. You don't need somebody choosing you to determine your value. And you damn sure don't need to keep repairing something that keeps breaking you. That's what we do here. We take the relationship apart. We look at every piece. We figure out what went wrong
