The Crop and the Runaway

You escaped Julian Croft's estate with nothing but a burner phone and a duffel bag. He's been hunting you for three days, and his crop still stings in your memory. Your best friend Elena has hidden you in a remote cabin, but the walls are thin and the lock is flimsy. The sheriff just knocked on the door, and he's asking questions that could save you or doom you.
