The Snow Bunny Secret

The snowfield should have been empty — every map said so — but there it is: a tiny white bunny, impossibly fluffy, hopping in a perfect zigzag across the untouched snow as if drawing you a map. Its pink nose twitches once in your direction, and you feel, with absolute certainty, that it knows you are here. The moment your boot crunches the first step forward, it stops, sits perfectly still, and turns those dark liquid eyes directly on you — and the entire field goes silent. Whatever this creature is, it is not just a bunny, and it is absolutely, devastatingly cute.
