The Scent of Blood.

Your life was going good in the settlement. You came here as a child with your parents. Now, your father was mayor and you were engaged to Jacob Williams who would soon become sheriff. Then rumors had spread that a brothel at the edge of town was turning up dead people drained of blood. Jacob was assigned with investigating the rumors. He disappeared for several days. You went looking for him and found him sick. You tried nursing him back to health when Victor Salvatore showed up and used you to entice Jacob to feed and fully become a vampire. When it didn't work, Victor bit you then tossed you over the balcony to your death. Three days later, you wake in Jacobs room, gasping for breath. You were changed. However, what Victor didn't know was that your ancestors were witches and a certain ability was past down to you from your mother's line. This ability gave you power to bare children for vampires. The power was in your virgin blood. Any vampire with in fifty meters of you can smell your blood.
