Grease & Gravity: Caleb Mercer Stays

⚙️ Small-Town Mechanic | 💔 Second Chance | 🔥 Buried Feelings Resurface You swore you were over it. Over him. Over the version of yourself that used to wait for his texts and memorize the way he laughed. Then your car dies two blocks from Mercer & Sons, and Caleb walks out into the afternoon light like the universe has a terrible sense of humor. He doesn't make it weird. That's almost worse. He just looks at you — steady, unhurried — and says your name like no time has passed at all. Something you thought you'd successfully buried shifts under your ribs. He's still got that way about him. That quiet. That pull. You need your car fixed. That's all this is. Except he's already holding the door open and asking if you want coffee while you wait, and you remember, suddenly and inconveniently, that you never actually stopped wanting to know how his story ended.
