The Queen's Crystal Defenders
You are the Princess of Velaria. Your father has just died, leaving you in line for the throne. In your father's last wishes, you have also been appointed 6 crystal guards. Now being crowned as Queen, you will meet the 6 extensively trained and hand selected men responsible for your safety. The crowning ceremony is beautifully decorated, the first moment of joy within the city in over a month since your father's passing. You only know that out of these 6 men expected to keep you safe, 3 of the guards are light iridescent guards, and 3 are dark iridescent. 3 for daytime, and 3 for night. What you didn't expect, was to be protected by 6 of the most handsome men you've ever met. Upon being escorted up the long carpet in the hall to recieve your crown, the guards stand waiting. Watching. Composing yourself, you try to hide your surprise at the guards watching you. The guests stand silent as you kneel, accepting the crown onto your head as you keep your head lowered, your cheeks flushing at every eye on you. A party commences afterward, you still adjusting to the weight now on your head, and there are 6 men now not allowing you to leave their sight. The iridescent guards remain close, locking in a perimeter around you. They have not spoken to you. They have not once deviated from their task - keeping the new queen safe. A crash echoes through the hall, and you're grabbed by an iridescent guard with large matching wings, flown out of the hall. A scream leaves you as you notice your altitude, and without thinking, you bury your head into him hiding your eyes. You land on a tall tower you've never been to. You can see the entire city of Velaria from it's balcony. Despite the breathtaking view, you begin to realize being queen will be a larger challenge than you thought, between major decisions, looming threats, carrying an entire city on your back, all while maintaining a queen's image. The other 5 rendezvous to your location, now all standing in front of you, a new threat now hanging over your head - and Velaria's. An assassination attempt already occurring on your first day with the crown.

Just seconds before the woman is hit by a vehicle, Mastermind darts out into the street, saving the woman from what would have been her death. When you look closer, his mask has hit the ground, eveyone instantly begins scrambling to reach their cellphones, trying to turn cameras on, gasping. Mastermind has just revealed his identity by accident. Your eyes go wide, You staring at the legendary superhero. Mastermind is still hovering over the woman he saved. Noticing his mask, his eyes widen in realization. He looks up, around the area, and his eyes meet the sidewalk, finally landing on you staring in shock. The Magic Mishap
You'd always thought you were born from a magical family. An orphan, you were raised believing that your parents had died in a car accident while coming home from a night out. The sweet elderly woman that ran the orphanage named Joanne, couldn't bring herself to tell you anything different. After spending your entire life raised around other children who could wield fire, ice, water, and other Earth based elements, you struggled to come into your power - not even able to generate a tiny spark. Bullied, you escaped into books - fantasy being your favorite genre. Your favorite was a series called "The Time Keepers Society" which had 4 adventurers turned defenders of the fragile balance between time and space. As an adult, the books now still sit on your shelf, along with an entire collection catching dust, thanks to your busy new job at Medi-Solutions Inc., a medical innovation company researching in magic for the purpose of healing ailments in non magic bearing humans. After an especially relentless day at work, you're drinking some wine, and find yourself staring at the series on the shelf that used to make being an outcast more bearable. You decide to revisit the series, and end up reading into the wee hours of the night. Upon finally going to sleep, you stare at the ceiling a few moments, wishing you could have them as friends. You have a dream that night involving the 4 boys at your apartment. It seemed almost...real. Shaking it off when you wake, you shower, get dressed, and think you'll be having an average day off, until you walk into your living room, and find all 4 characters from your favorite book series spread around throughout your kitchen. Your magic ability was never an Earth element. it stemmed from your imagination. And now, you've got 4 men who should be fictional, all in a world they know nothing about, and your new job is likely to have you issued as a mandatory "assessment" for research, given they find out. Trying to now navigate 4 very curious men from a book in your life, Dale, Trent, Hudson, and Charlie - the boys have now taken a keen interest in you, seeing you as a new mystery to unfold, an adventure to be had, offering to help you figure out how you use your strange new abilities. Turns out, Joanne's little lie was not telling you that your mother had magic - it was that your father... isn't real. At least not by normal standards, anyways. You dad was a character brought to life that your mother created with her mind, so she'd not be alone anymore. Either you have just gotten the coolest ability on the planet, or one that might make you the weirdest magic bearing human alive, forcing you to try and live life as a normal human, hiding your true nature from everyone, all while protecting your new, curious, not so fictional anymore- friends.

Leif Haraldsson
The Wolf viking clan you've been raised in has not always considered you family, as you were found and not born into their clan. Being raised with the desire to be a shield maiden, you learned quickly, that title was reserved for members born into the Wolf clan alone. You adapted, staying close to the village healer who took you under her wing. Freydis, the older healer of the clan, took you into her home, teaching you as well as becoming a mother figure to you growing up. You were protected by this, as Freydis is highly regarded and respected, her elder clan member wisdom outweighing most opposition against your being raised within the clan village. Your family was killed in England during Viking raids, you being only an infant. While Freydis insisted the clan take you after pulling their longship up onto the aftermath, some still see you as an English woman, and not a true viking. Eager to have proven yourself, you leaned into healing, trying to justify your being there. Unfortunately, against your wishes, you were given an ultimatum. Find a spouse. The clan ruler Sigurd declared you to be married by your next birthday to prove your dedication to the clan. The year has passed, most of the men willing to take you to bed, but not to make you a wife. You've refused to resort to that, keeping yourself respectable for whatever husband you do end up taking. This has resulted in Sigurd's verdict - your exile from the clan - unless someone is willing to take you. Freydis no longer has any say over you, and now that you've been grown several years, she also has hoped you'd be her predecessor as clan healer. An unlikely stomp echoes through the longhouse, Sigurd smiling. "Someone has offered." You look to find the worst, drunkest, most unfit husband in the clan eyeballing you - Arne. His large belly, brown teeth, and a wicked grin all suddenly incite panic in you, knowing you are in no position to say no. You rush out of the longhouse feeling physically ill, while Sigurd asks if anyone disapproves of the union. You don't think there's any way you can stay in the clan. Refusal means you'll be thrown out to survive the harsh winter alone. But Leif Haraldsson, the local blacksmith and a respected warrior, quiet and usually paired with Sigurd's daughter Hilde, is suddenly behind you, calling for you. You don't know much about Leif, as he has never interacted with you much outside of just in passing by. Hilde absolutely hates you in the clan. She's advocated for your banishment for years. Unsure if her hatred spawned from jealousy you don't understand the reason for, if she's simply disgusted by you, or hates you outright as a person - Hile has consistently been plotting to hurt or rid you from the clan since childhood. Leif was the last person you'd ever expected, but might just save you from a terrible fate- given Hilde doesn't interfere, although you're fully expecting hell to follow regardless. If your given the choice to remain in the clan, that is. Will you stay? Leave? Accept Arne? Or let Leif go through with whatever plan he's cooked up for you both? Either way, you're in for a fight.

Holland Viktor Blackthorn
Holland Blackthorn is the fae ruler over the Shadow Court, in the dreaded ancient fae territory of Erandel - A fae territory humans are terrified to enter. All humans have been led to believe the fae are ruthless, brutal, enslave and/or smile upon the death of humans. Holland, being at his prime, the 674 year old is a force to be reckoned with, having shadow magic beyond every ancestor in his bloodline. You grew up a lower class in your village, with parents who farmed. Learning early from being bullied by nobility, that your existence didn't matter. Your family hunted and relied on the meat for winter harvest. This Winter has been especially difficult, with terrible weather and a shortage of game to hunt. While attempting to hunt after a blizzard, you see a faint glimmer along the magical wall fae have used to keep intruders out. In awe of the greens, blues, pinks and oranges, you realize after a moment - Something is wrong with the wall. It's ancient magic had never been visable to the human eye for hundreds of years. The only way humans could interact with the wall, was to find it by touching or accidentally crossing it, the result being a person thrown backward and killed. Burned from the inside out. Humans then put up signs and memorials along the wall to prevent such painful experiences. You are desperate. your family is starving. To help your parents, along with younger brothers, Elias and Malcolm, you get closer to the wall, readying your bow. You aim at a deer just beyond the warning signs to turn back. Firing and striking true, the deer lands with a crash into the snow, it's body half in the safe human territory, the other half - through the magic wall. Panicked by the thought of losing the precious harvest, you run up and begin tugging at the antlers, trying to pull the deer from the other side. The other side yanks back, shocking you. Suddenly, after a short lived tug of war, a powerful yank sends you tumbling forward. You land on top of the deer, and look up to see a pair of black boots. Your eyes drift upward, to a long haired fae male, a group of others dressed in similar dark attire, and all eyes are on you. You are on the other side of the wall, having no idea how you didn't die. The males eyes widen, and the one in front of you closes the distance between you, crouching. You have heard rumor that any human that's ever gotten beyond the wall has been sold, or worse. Even more terrifying, once you enter, you've heard from villagers there's no way to get back out. The men, confused and unsure what to do with you, take you and the deer, dragging you both to a giant, dark home of some ancient fae lineage. The deer is taken for processing. You are taken inside. As you travel further into the massive residence, you can begin to feel a more and more powerful tug deep in your chest, that's almost painful into your soul. A large, tall, intimidating male is at the helm of a large meeting table. He then looks stunned, and says what you feared. "My name is Holland. who might you be, little woman? And how did you get beyond the wall?" Holland. Viktor. Blackthorn. Your breath hitches.
