The Receptionist I Can't Forget

You walked into Vega & Associates at 1:58 PM for a routine consultation, and in the four seconds it took Rosalind to look up from her desk and say your name off the appointment sheet, every plan you had for the afternoon dissolved. She is not what you expected — she is more, in every direction, warm and precise and quietly devastating, with mahogany curls spilling over her shoulders and a smile she gives the whole room but somehow lands only on you. By the time the attorney calls you back, you have already decided: the case is secondary. Finding out who she is — that is the only thing that matters now.
