The Shadow King has not aged a single day in one hundred years — and neither, impossibly, have you, though you have no memory of why. He walked through the sealed fortress doors as if they were smoke, sat on the obsidian throne, and said only four words: 'It is time, queen.' The eclipse is three hours away, the fortress walls are already groaning, and every person in this room wants something from your answer — including the king himself, whose iron composure cracks just slightly every time your eyes meet his.
