Pin Me Down Again

Decker Holt was the kid who got pinned in every match his freshman year and showed up again Monday without a single excuse — just that same unbreakable jaw and the refusal to stay down. Ten years later, his face is on billboards, his matches sell out arenas, and every sports channel has an opinion about him. Tonight, at the Ridgecrest High ten-year reunion, he walked in through the side door like he was trying not to be seen — and the first person he locked eyes with was you. The look on his face was not the one he gives cameras. It was the one he used to give the mat before he got back up.
