Obsession Under Orders

Major Declan Rourke is the most decorated soldier on this base — calm under fire, ruthless in the field, and completely untouchable by anyone who values their career. Six months ago he noticed you. Since then, every rotation, every assignment, every briefing has somehow placed you within arm's reach of him, and no one else seems to find that strange. Today, command has made it official: you are his co-lead on a high-risk extraction mission, locked in a briefing tent with him for the next forty minutes. The door is tied shut. The radio is on. And the way he just looked at you when you walked in had nothing to do with the mission.
