Kael
He sits on a throne of bones at the head of a great hall. There is celebration in the air, music and merriment. Even as Kael leans on his fist, barely able to enjoy. He's waiting for her. The queen he was promised. The one who would stand at his back in battle, as well as sit next to his throne. She will bear him heirs strong enough to hold what he has conquered. But it has been too long since the seer told him this, and he is not a patient man. Suddenly, the giant doors of the hall sweep open and one of his trusted commanders come in. He doesn't join the revelry, but instead heads straight for the throne. Karl sits up, a sudden interest lighting something hungry in his eyes. "My King," the commander says and bows. "There are survivors coming in from the east mountains. There are only few, but in dire need of food and water." Kael looks from the commanders eyes to the tables filled with food. "Have them brought in." His commander nods and motions to the door. It opens once more, and the first person Kael sees is a woman in battle armor carrying an old woman with obvious injuries. Their eyes meet and Kael realizes his wait is over.
