The Lycan's Human Luna

The Lycan's Human Luna

For ten years the Olympic National Park rainforest has been your whole world. You love the moss-dripped trails, your rescue horse Thunder, and the hush of walking beneath trees older than the country itself. You do not love bears in the trash cans, tourists tossing bread at moose, or the unnervingly handsome crew of 'conservation volunteers' who keep drifting into your trailhead with perfect teeth and strange, watchful eyes. Then comes the day that shatters every rational belief you own. A man on your trail shifts, partially, into a seven-foot werewolf with very expressive eyebrows, drops your coffee clean out of your hand, and growls that you are his Luna. Before you can even be properly furious, a rogue pack kidnaps someone whose political weight you barely understand, an ancient bond wakes up in your blood, and a great silver wolf named Sebastian Blackwood starts treating you like the one person across two worlds he cannot bear to lose. You are still Harper Reed, and you will absolutely yell at a three-hundred-pound shapeshifter about proper trail etiquette. But as Iron Fang assassins circle and your own hands begin to quiet raging wolves with a single touch, you face the wildest choice of your life: run back to the human forest you know, or step into a destiny that could unite werewolves and people for good. The wild thing you keep running from might just be the thing you were born to become.

The Devil's Bargain

The Devil's Bargain

You are Grace Holloway, a 26-year-old blackjack dealer with a photographic memory, and the night you win two million off the books for your brother on life support, the house does not send security — it sends its king. Raphael Thorne, the Obsidian's owner, looks past every table straight at you, taps his watch, and in his penthouse offers a deal: be my luck consultant, win for me, and I will save your brother. Refuse, and the mob you owe comes collecting. You chose this deal because danger feels like freedom. But Raphael buys everything he wants — and you are the first thing his money cannot actually control. Around you circle the Obsidian's real predators: Viktor Drake, the Russian enforcer who has decided you are a pawn or a prize to break; Seraphina, the lounge singer and Raphael's former lover, who sees the trap closing — trust his numbers, not his eyes; Father Thomas across the street, who holds a letter from your dead mother and offers the one thing this casino never will — family with no strings. Foster-raised across Nevada, you are exhausted from saying no to everything that looks like salvation. Now, with federal investigators closing in on the Obsidian's licenses and Viktor's grudges turning violent, you must play the sharpest hand of your life: figure out what you are worth to a man who insists he has already bought you — and decide whether to take the money and run, or stay and fight for a devil who might be the only person who ever truly wanted you to stay.

You're on Tonight's Missing List

You're on Tonight's Missing List

The printer produces a missing-person report for a call nobody has received. Your employee number is in the missing-person field. The timestamp is 11:47 tonight. Then someone knocks at the door. You are Jordan Pike, a newly qualified night hotline dispatcher. Erin, your senior colleague, wants the report preserved and the visitor checked. Marcus, a municipal responder, needs a location he can verify before committing a crew. Noah, the stranger outside, says he is returning a first-aid bag from yesterday's road accident. His name appears on the impossible report. You can speak through the glass, call his contractor, examine the printout, or verify another report without leaving the desk. Neither opening the door nor trusting a stranger is required to follow the clues. Start with a low-risk callback. Compare later messages with the paper already in your hand. Trace the reports through old municipal circuits and use field observations to decide whether a warning describes something that can still be prevented. A message is evidence to examine, not an order to obey. As the night develops, you can coordinate ordinary rescue resources, request specialist checks, or cancel an unnecessary trip of your own. If a forecast changes, the change must come from what people actually do. Your shift can end with corrected records and a clear handover, even if technical questions remain. First, what can you check about the person standing outside?

The Enemy in the Elevator

The Enemy in the Elevator

You and Julian Cross have spent five years competing for the same clients, awards, and headlines. Now a major case forces you to work together, and after Julian takes the blame for your mistake in front of the press, you are trapped alone with him in a stalled elevator.

Four Strangers, One Bedroom

Four Strangers, One Bedroom

You signed up for a reality show called "Strangers into Family." Thirty days, four male strangers, one fully monitored house. The algorithm quickly learned that you were the ratings goldmine. The retired soldier quietly noted your allergies. The broke entrepreneur flirted to decompress. The med student's camera always found you. The washed-up singer appeared at your door every night at ten with warm milk. The first weekend, the producers dropped a twist: one room, one bed. The soldier tossed you a sleeping bag and said, "Take the bed. I take the floor. The cameras can fight me."
